Hypermarkets, are the biggest culprits for wastage of food. If a frozen chicken will be expired in 5 days after the main deliveries, they would throw it out in the bin, to make place for the new stock.

A small American town, can throw 1 million tons of food daily. I'm not telling this out of speculations. It is in the American Statistics Records about food consumption and wastage.

A table full with food. I mean good food. Unperished. Thrown away by the capitalist Hypermarkets. If only the Hypermarkets will start thinking about distributing these thrown stuffs to poor people...If Only.
Unperished goods. From a big Hypermarket. Still 17 days for it to be worn out. Hey, what worn out. After the expiry date you can stay consume them for 5 days. Legally safe.
